Tuesday's update

Ok, Savannah and I went to the Moran Eye Center at 8 am this morning. They did 4 hours of tests. I dont even think I could remember what all of them were, but it was pretty interesting to watch (While trying to keep my eyes pried open! Man I was tired!)
We saw probably 4 different doctors there, each doing different types of tests. There was one lady there who was doing a peripheral vision test….this is gonna be hard to explain, easier to show… bear with me while I try.
So, she had this big black board with thin white circles making kind of a faint Target design on it. In the center was a white dot. She had savannah sit and stair at the white dot, while she brought in a white dot in a pole and told her to tell her when she could see this other white dot while still stiaring into the center of the “bulls eye” dot.
Well, I was watching, and this lady litterally zoomed that dot in SO quickly that I would not have had time to say “I see it” before she was in the center. And each angle she did she’d put a marker where she said “There”. She did both eyes, and at the end, it showed she had about a 1 foot in diameter peripheral vision (Which she told me later qualifies as blind)

Well, I didnt like how Freeking Fast little Mrs Speed daemon ZOOMED that other dot onto the “target” board, that annoyed me because I couldnt have dont any better then what Savannah did (IN my opinion) But I tried to give this “doctor” the benefit of the doubt and thought “Well she’s the doctor and has probably been doing it for years”.

So, after that, she takes me alone into a room and says to me stuff like: “Some kids just like attention” & “If she is abused at school or in anxiety over something she might be trying to find ways to get out of those situations.”

Then, calmly, I told her that I home school her, and that at church my friend teachers her class, and there is just NO situation that would allow for “abuse”.
So she said that Savannah seemed to be “Giving her what she (the doctor) wanted” She gave the example of the target board thing, saying that even when she’d moved savannah back a few feet it should have changed where her periphrial vision was, but it was the same. And I thought to myself “Yea, at the speed you were throwing that dot about, its no wonder it was the same!” But me on the slightly more shy, and trying to be respectful side, I said “So what about the 3 month long head and stomach aches?”
She said: “Well, it could be a migraine.”
(For 3 months non stop….R I G H T!!!!)
I just stared at her in disbelief that this woman actually has a Doctorate and received a medical degree!

But we did learn some good things from the other tests that were done!!!!!

We learned that she does not have pressure on her eyes, & there were not OUTSTANDING eye problems that they could find! (Like the retina detaching)
So, that is good. But we are still left with no answers!

So, that is our day today!

We’ll keep making more posts as new things develop!

Love you all!
