PUPPIES PUPPIES PUPPIES
Posted by: BonBon
When we woke up this morning (Sunday May 31st) Dot had given birth to 5 puppies!!
We became very worried when we noticed that the chord was still attached to the baby and still inside Dot. They usually birth the sack with the pup and isn’t left inside her. So we watched her close for the next while and she couldn’t get it out or detached. So I got a warm rag and started to try to help assist her. It took 20 minutes before she finally was able to get that taken care of. Then soon after, another puppy came. I then felt her tummy and could very obviously feel one more scooting around in there. And sure enough, half hour later #7 came along!

Here are a couple pictures:

No wonder she was actually dragging on the ground these past few days! We were really worried she had too many in there, but she did a Great job! She didnt cry or yelp during the night, so I didnt even get to be there for the birth of the first 5! With Daisy I was there for the birth of all of hers!

We have a VERY rare colored one that is Very Obviously different! Its a grey and black Dapple male!
I haven’t done a count on how many males and females yet, but I do know the Dapple one is a boy.

So, we’ll be posting more pictures as we take them!

Hugs everyone!
